A good breakfast will give a jumpstart to your body by providing all the nutrition needed thereby increasing the body metabolism which in turn will stop you from overeating during the day. Every person, young and old, needs a good breakfast which will help them to become full of energy to face the day. Research has indicated that people who eat their breakfast regularly do well in their workplace, in academics and in other areas of life. Today, ensure that you develop the habit of having a good breakfast in the morning.
2. Drink plenty of water and keep your body hydrated.
Drinking plenty of water has a lot of benefits. It helps in flushing out the toxins from the body. You can also make plain water more tasty by adding lemon juice, slices of oranges, cucumber etc., to the water to get your fruit flavoured drink.
3. Make exercise a part of your daily schedule.
It is important to include exercise in your daily regime. An early morning walk for 30 minutes or walking to your office or any other place or even climbing up stairs will help your body to become physically fit.
In case you are working, take regular short breaks of standing or walking around in the office. It is also important to strengthen your muscles by doing some strength training under the guidance of a fitness expert. These trainings done a couple of times a week will help to tone the body, strengthen the muscles and build the bone strength.
Also, it would be great if you do some exercises or walk outdoors. It will help you to get sunshine and vitamin D, which is good for the heart, bones and this will also make you happy. Nature also helps in keeping our moods calm and peaceful.

It is important to have your prayer time, wherein you connect with God. In my case, spending time reading Bible verses has given me a lot of peace and solace and helps me in facing the challenges of the world.
You can also spend time in doing things that personally mean something to you. You can take up a long lost hobby, learn something new like baking, cooking or any other creative activity that will refresh your mind and encourage you.
6. Get a good 8 hours of sleep every day.
Sleep plays an important part in keeping the body healthy. Good sleep helps you to focus and concentrate better. Further, it sharpens your memory and enhances your mood. Good sleep is one of the most important factors for maintaining a healthy body. When you have exercise in your schedule and don’t lead a sedentary lifestyle then your body will get tired at the end of the day, which will result in good sleep.
Ensure that you have a condusive sleep environment with no lights, noise or any other disturbance. Also get into the habit of going to sleep at the same time everyday and also waking up at the same time everyday.
7. Limit your screen time and Social Media.
Most people are so addicted to television or to their smartphones, that they completely shut themselves off from the world around them. They are constantly checking their emails or social media messages are restless most of the time.
It is good to log off and go offline and connect with people around you. Eat family dinners, make conversations with your family, read a book, help your mom to chop vegetables in the kitchen etc. It is important to get connected with real people and the real world, instead of being constantly in a virtual world which is addictive.
Research has clearly indicated that the more you interact with family and friends in the real world, you will lead a better life.
8. Always be grateful and thankful.
Gratitude and thankfulness help in leading a positive and healthy life. It is important to remove the negativity and strife in your life. Be grateful to God first, for all the good things that he has done in your life. Take a moment every day to be thankful to God.This will also help you to be grateful and thankful to people around you. You will spread positivity around you, which will go a long way in keeping you healthy.
